About

I’m a journalist and editor based in Tarntanya / Adelaide, usually found writing about history and culture.

My first book, Young Rupert: the making of the Murdoch empire, is available now in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States via Scribe Publications.

I’ve written for The Guardian, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Monthly, The Saturday Paper, Crikey, NME, Australian Book Review, InDaily, and more. For a while I worked as an editor and staff writer at The Adelaide Review and Rip It Up.

I’ve also appeared on the Today Show, ABC News, Late Night Live, BBC Scotland, SBS World News, 10 News First, and Radio New Zealand.

I’m always open to freelance projects so sing out if you need a hand with anything. Tips and other correspondence are also most welcome.
